A Typical Day at Pleasant Grove Food Pantry
Volunteers arrive and prepare for food distribution. On Tuesdays, this includes bringing food indoors from pallets of food delivered by North Texas Food Bank. At 9:00 AM, clients enter the building and undergo a brief pre-screening to determine if they are in our data system. Clients are then processed through intake procedures, get a shopping cart, and begin shopping. At 11:30 AM, distribution ends and volunteers pack and store leftover perishable food, remove trash, retrieve shopping carts, clean tables, and restock shelves. Up to 400 households are served each week.
Volunteers, partners, and supporters are always needed. Please submit your contact information to get more information on how you can help.
